Job summary

Cascades at Oak Creek is seeking a dedicated Dietary Manager to lead our dietary department and ensure nutritious, appealing meals for nursing home residents. You will oversee menu planning, staff supervision, regulatory compliance, and documentation to support resident well-being.

The role requires CDM certification, strong knowledge of applicable regulations, and prior supervisory experience in long-term care. Benefits include comprehensive insurance, 401k, PTO, and life insurance.

Qualifications

• Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) or equivalent certification required.
• Strong understanding of Federal, State, and local nursing home dietary rules and regulations.
• Prior foodservice experience in a long-term care setting is highly preferred.
• Minimum one-year supervisory experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and coordinate all dietary department activities including purchasing and meal production.
• Direct and supervise dietary personnel including hiring/firing, orientation, training, schedules, and evaluations.
• Ensure foodservice production and storage areas are safe and sanitary.
• Maintain nutritional documentation in the electronic health record.
• Work with facility administration to manage budgetary and inventory goals.
• Participate in department head meetings.
• Oversee menus that meet residents' nutrition needs and preferences.
