Job summary

Journey seeks dedicated cooks to support our residents in Georgia. The role focuses on preparing meals to dietary guidelines, controlling portions, and ensuring safe handling and presentation in a care setting.

You will read recipes, collaborate with the care team, and maintain compliance with health standards while supporting a positive dining experience for residents and their families.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of institutional cooking experience, preferably in long-term care or hospital settings.
• Ability to read and interpret recipes, menus, and production sheets; knowledge of food ordering and health regulations.
• Strong communication to coordinate with team and leadership while following state health standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals per dietary guidelines and portion controls.
• Maintain safe food handling, monitor storage, temperature checks and sanitation.
• Operate kitchen equipment, manage inventory, and collaborate with residents, families and staff.
