Job summary

PruittHealth is seeking a Cook - Dietary Aide in a long-term care setting. You will assist the cook, prepare meals, service nourishments, and help with food safety and sanitation to meet dietary needs and regulatory requirements.

Role emphasizes teamwork with the Dietary Manager/Supervisor, adherence to procedures, and maintaining proper temperatures and portion control for residents.

Qualifications

• Sufficient education to demonstrate functional literacy.
• Minimum of one year institutional food service experience as a cook.
• Experience in long term care food production is preferred.
• Ability to follow safety and infection control procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist cook in the preparation of meals, salads, desserts and snacks.
• Serve nourishments in accordance with guidelines.
• Store leftovers and opened food properly.
• Record and respect menu substitutions.
• Deliver trays to patients/residents on halls and dining areas.
• Clean tables, work areas and kitchen equipment after meals.
