Job summary

Powerlink is seeking a skilled Dietary Cook to join our Foodservice Operations team in the Flagstaff area. The cook will prepare meals with attention to safety, sanitation, and therapeutic diets, under supervision of Culinary and Dietary Managers.

Responsibilities include assisting with ordering, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and supporting dietary aides. Requires 2+ years in healthcare cooking and ability to work weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum two (2) years of experience as a cook in long term care or other healthcare setting.
• Must be able to speak, read and write English to communicate effectively with others.
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays with flexible hours.
• Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
• Background in safety and sanitation compliance.
• Must be able to work independently and in a team environment.
• Ability to stand up to 10 hours a day.
• Must be local to Flagstaff, AZ and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

• Assist Culinary and Dietary Managers with food preparation, production, and presentation.
• Assist with ordering and receiving as necessary.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen workspace; support dietary aides as needed.
• Ensure recipes are followed and therapeutic diets are adhered to.
