Job summary

Live Well Healthcare Solutions is seeking a skilled Dietary Cook for our Skilled Nursing Facility in Fairhaven. You will prepare and portion meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner following standardized recipes.

You will plate dishes, maintain kitchen sanitation, manage inventory, assist with purchasing, and support the Dietary Manager during their absence. This is a full-time role with PTO and insurance benefits for eligible employees.

Qualifications

• Experienced in high-volume meal preparation for nursing facility residents.
• Ability to follow standardized recipes and plate attractively.
• Supportive role to the Dietary Manager during absences.

Responsibilities

• Meal Preparation & Culinary Excellence: Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, and cook a variety of nutritious meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner following standardized recipes.
• Plating & Presentation: Plate and garnish all cooked items expertly to ensure an attractive menu presentation.
• Leadership Support: Act as a liaison for the Dietary Manager during their absence to ensure seamless meal prep and delivery.
• Kitchen Sanitation: Maintain high sanitation standards by thoroughly cleaning the kitchen and all culinary equipment before and after food service.
• Inventory & Recipe Management: Manage inventory, handle stock rotation, assist with purchasing, and ensure recipe development and compliance.
• Special Events: Flexibly handle last-minute culinary requests for special events and facility functions.
