Job summary

Live Well Healthcare Solutions at Hudson Elms Nursing Home is seeking a skilled Cook experienced in high-volume culinary operations to join our dietary team.

You will follow standardized recipes to prepare, portion, and present meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, while maintaining sanitation and inventory controls. Must be available to work every other weekend to support seamless meal service.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, portion, and cook meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner following standardized recipes.
• Plate and garnish cooked items for attractive presentation.
• Act as liaison for the Dietary Manager during their absence to ensure seamless meal prep and delivery.
• Maintain high sanitation standards by thoroughly cleaning the kitchen and all culinary equipment before and after food service.
• Manage inventory, rotate stock, assist with purchasing, and support recipe development and compliance.
• Handle last-minute culinary requests for special events and facility functions.

Position Overview & Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a talented, classically trained Cook experienced in high-volume culinary operations to join our team at a Skilled Nursing Facility.

• Meal Preparation & Culinary Excellence: Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, and cook a variety of nutritious meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner following standardized recipes.
• Plating & Presentation: Plate and garnish all cooked items expertly to ensure an attractive menu presentation.
• Leadership Support: Act as a liaison for the Dietary Manager during their absence to ensure seamless meal prep and delivery.
• Kitchen Sanitation: Maintain high sanitation standards by thoroughly cleaning the kitchen and all culinary equipment before and after food service.
• Inventory & Recipe Management: Manage inventory, handle stock rotation, assist with purchasing, and ensure recipe development and compliance.
• Special Events: Flexibly handle last-minute culinary requests for special events and facility functions.
