Yorktown Manor Care Center in Yorktown, IN is seeking a Dietary Cook to assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of meals in accordance with planned menus and portion controls for our skilled nursing facility.

The full-time role includes a 2p–8p shift, with every other weekend and potential daytime hours if needed. Ideal candidates have dining services experience in healthcare settings, and ServSafe certification is required.

Qualifications

• One (1) year of dining services experience in a hospital, skilled nursing care facility, or other related medical facility preferred.
• Culinary School preferred
• Must be ServSafe certified
• Must be 18 years and older

Responsibilities

• Prepare all served food
• Plan food production to coordinate with meal serving hours
• Memorize, record, and comprehend menu items, abbreviations, plate appearance, and portions
• Follow standard recipes and special diet orders
• Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
• Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes
• Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, and appliances
