Job summary

Concord Post Acute is actively seeking a dependable Dietary Cook to join our healthcare team. The role involves preparing nutritious meals, following menus and dietary needs while maintaining high food safety standards.

As a team member in a fast-paced kitchen, you will collaborate with dietary staff to ensure meals are served on time and presented well, supporting resident health and well-being.

Qualifications

  • Previous cooking or food service experience preferred.
  • Skilled nursing or healthcare dietary experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of basic food preparation and sanitation practices.
  • Ability to follow recipes, menus, and special dietary instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen setting.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook meals according to established menus and recipes.
  • Follow resident-specific diets and special dietary requirements.
  • Ensure meals are prepared and served accurately and on schedule.
  • Maintain proper portion sizes and appealing food presentation.
  • Monitor food temperatures and follow food safety guidelines.
  • Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized kitchen and food preparation areas.
  • Properly store, label, and rotate food supplies.
  • Assist with inventory and minimize food waste.
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and properly.
  • Work collaboratively with dietary staff and other members of the care team.
  • Follow facility policies, procedures, and applicable health regulations.

The Dietary Cook will be responsible for preparing nutritious, appealing meals while following established menus, special diet requirements, and food safety standards.
