Job summary

Lakeside Health & Rehab in Richmond, VA is seeking a Part-Time Cook to join our Dietary team. This role may include some dietary aide duties, assisting with meal service and kitchen operations as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience as a cook in healthcare, hospitality, or restaurant settings preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures required.
• Ability to read and follow recipes and dietary instructions.
• Dependable, team-oriented, and able to work independently when needed.
• Willingness to assist with dietary aide duties as required.

Responsibilities

• Follow portion control standards and safe food-handling practices
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, equipment, and work areas in compliance with health and safety standards

• Support inventory management, food storage, and supply rotation
• Work collaboratively with the Dietary Manager and team to meet resident needs and preferences
