Brookside Rehab & Nursing Center in Warrenton, VA is seeking a dependable Dietary Cook to join our team. You will prepare meals that meet dietary needs and ensure safe, timely service to residents in a compassionate setting.

Experience in cooking or healthcare food service is preferred, and you will work under the Dietary Manager to maintain quality dining experiences for residents and their families.

Qualifications

• Experience in cooking or food service preferred.
• Healthcare, long-term care, or institutional food service experience is a plus.
• Ability to follow recipes, menus, and special dietary instructions.
• Knowledge of proper food handling and sanitation practices.
• Reliable and dependable.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and dietary requirements.
• Follow recipes, portion sizes, and food preparation guidelines.
• Prepare meals that meet the nutritional and special dietary needs of our residents.
• Ensure food is prepared, stored, and served safely and at the proper temperature.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation regulations.
• Assist with meal service and ensure meals are served on schedule.
• Monitor food supplies and communicate when items need to be reordered.
• Work closely with the Dietary Manager and dietary team.
• Help create a positive dining experience for our residents.
• Treat residents with kindness, respect, and compassion.

Pay: $17.00–$18.00 per hour based on experience
