Job summary

Oakhurst Health & Rehab in Fork Union, VA is seeking a part-time cook to join our dietary team. If you love creating meals that feel like home, we want to meet you.

You will prepare meals per menus and dietary guidelines, ensure proper temperature and presentation, maintain kitchen cleanliness, and assist with inventory. We value reliability, teamwork, and ability to work night shifts. Previous healthcare or food service experience and knowledge of food safety are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior experience as a cook in healthcare, hospitality, or restaurant setting preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures required.
• Ability to read and follow recipes and dietary instructions.
• Dependable, team-oriented, and able to work independently on night shift.
