Solaris HealthCare Parkway in Stuart, FL is hiring a Part Time PM Cook. Must be available on weekends and holidays. The role focuses on preparing nourishing and attractive meals per diet orders and center events, following federal, state, and local standards.

We value a positive attitude, reliable work ethic and teamwork. Responsibilities include following recipes, operating kitchen equipment, reviewing menus, and ensuring food safety and sanitation.

• Prepare and serve nourishing and attractive meals according to planned menus and diet orders.
• Review menus and production and prep guides to determine quantities.
• Operate kitchen equipment (blenders, mixers, fryers, slicers, ovens, steamers, etc.).
• Follow recipes and add gravies, sauces, and garnishes as required.
• Maintain food safety and sanitation standards.

Purpose of Your Job Position

The primary purpose of your job position is to prepare and serves nourishing and attractive meals and other foods as required to support the menu specific to diet orders and other center events, in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, and Solaris HealthCare’s established policies and procedures.

• Reviews menus, production and prep guides to determine type and quantities of food to be prepared.’
• Prepares all meal items according to planned menus and standardized recipes in a sanitary manner to ensure the utmost in quality with a minimum of waste.
• Uses nutritionally equivalent substitutes when required.
• Operates a variety of kitchen utensils and equipment, such as blender, mixer, fryer, slicer, steamer, food processor, convection oven, stove, conventional oven, steam table and tilt skillet.

• Wash, peel, cut, and shreds vegetables and fruits to prepare for use.

• Completes work assignments.
