Solaris HealthCare Charlotte Harbor is seeking a dedicated full-time Activities CNA with a focus on meal preparation and dietary support. The role supports resident well-being by preparing nutritious meals according to diet orders and center policies, using standard recipes and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities include meal planning adherence, safe equipment use, and collaboration with care staff. High school diploma preferred; 1–2 years cooking experience preferred; Florida AHCA background

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read and write required.
• 1–2 years cooking in a large-scale operation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve nourishing meals per planned menus.
• Follow standardized recipes and ensure sanitary preparation.

Purpose of Your Job Position

The primary purpose of your job position is to prepare and serves nourishing and attractive meals and other foods as required to support the menu specific to diet orders and other center events, in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, and Solaris HealthCare’s established policies and procedures.

• Reviews menus, production and prep guides to determine type and quantities of food to be prepared.’
• Prepares all meal items according to planned menus and standardized recipes in a sanitary manner to ensure the utmost in quality with a minimum of waste.
• Uses nutritionally equivalent substitutes when required.
• Operates a variety of kitchen utensils and equipment, such as blender, mixer, fryer, slicer, steamer, food processor, convection oven, stove, conventional oven, steam table and tilt skillet.
• Wash, peel, cut, and shreds vegetables and fruits to prepare for use.
• Tests and observes food by tasting for palatability.
• Slices portions of meat for individual servings.
• Follows recipes.
• Add gravies, sauces, and garnishes as required.
• Prepares and assists with special function meals.
• Completes work assignments.
