Job summary

PCH Princeton Community Hospital in Bluefield, WV is seeking a Dietetic Assistant to support a variety of food service duties, including patient tray line, dish room, utilities, cafeteria service, and cold food production. You’ll work as part of a team to deliver high quality food and service to patients and customers.

The role requires obtaining a Food Handler card within 30 days, following standardized recipes, and maintaining sanitation and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Food Handler card or ability to obtain within 30 days.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to read and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Prepares all work areas for operation per task assignment and maintains sanitizer levels.
• Sets up area with utensils, restocks, cleans, and keeps area organized.
• Produces attractive, high-quality food and beverages.
• Follows menu cycles, portions, and recipes; uses leftovers per FIFO.
• Greets customers, takes orders, and services customers efficiently.
• Addresses complaints politely and seeks management help when needed.
• Cleans spills promptly and posts caution signs; removes trash.
• Merchandises area in a clean, attractive, and orderly manner.
• Ensures sanitation, safety, and quality control per policies.
• Documents refrigerator and equipment temperatures and alerts if malfunctioning.
• Operates, cleans, and stores equipment properly.
• Stores and labels food items and chemicals.
