Job summary

WVU Medicine Princeton Community Hospital is seeking a Dietetic Assistant to support patient meal service and hospital dining operations. The role involves food preparation, sanitation, and direct patient/customer interaction in a fast-paced kitchen and service areas.

Responsibilities include following menus, portion control, handling leftovers, maintaining safety standards, and collaborating with team to deliver high-quality meals to patients and visitors.

Qualifications

• Current Food Handlers card or obtained within 30 days of hire.
• PIC training provided through the County Health Department.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Prepare work areas, fill sanitizing solution, and maintain sanitizer levels.
• Set up area, restock, clean, and organize assigned work zone.
• Prepare attractive food and beverages using approved recipes.
• Greet customers, take orders, and provide friendly service.
• Address complaints professionally and escalate to management.
• Monitor temperatures and label/store items safely.
• Follow sanitation guidelines and document equipment checks.
