Job summary

Ebenezer is seeking a Dietary Assistant/Server to provide dining room meal service for our senior residents in Bloomington, MN. The role supports kitchenettes, assists with meal prep, and helps maintain a clean, inviting dining area while delivering compassionate care.

This part-time position offers an evening shift with every other weekend, and the opportunity to join a trusted organization serving older adults for over a century.

Qualifications

• No previous experience required; however, preferred experience in a customer service setting.
• Excellent customer service skills and teamwork are essential.
• Ability to interact compassionately with residents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Serve prepared meals to residents in a courteous, timely manner.
• Keep dining areas clean and inviting for residents and guests.
• Promote positive resident relations and happiness during meals.
• Sanitize equipment and work areas and maintain supplies.
• Assist with meal preparation and special events as needed.
• Provide kitchen support with dish washing and floor cleaning.
• Answer phones and communicate requests to appropriate staff.

Job Overview

Ebenezer is looking for a Dietary Assistant/Server to join our team! This role is responsible for dining room meal service to our senior age residents and maintaining supplies in the kitchenettes for our Skilled Nursing Facility in Bloomington, MN.

This nutrition services schedule includes:

• 16 hours per two weeks
• Evening shift
• Includes every other weekend

Martin Luther Care Center, part of the Martin Luther Senior Living Campus is located in East Bloomington, near woodlands/wetlands and along the Minnesota River Bluffs. Managed by Ebenezer, we offer 137 units between our Skilled Nursing, Memory Care and Transitional Care. We have an outstanding team of tenured staff. The only thing missing is YOU! Serves prepared meals to residents and ensures the dining area is clean and inviting

Promotes and encourages positive resident relations and happiness with their meal service

Sanitizes equipment, work areas and maintains supplies

Assists with meal prep and special events

Provides kitchen support when needed with dish washing and cleaning of floors

Answers phones and communicates requests appropriately

No previous experience required, but prefer work experience in a customer service setting

Excellent customer service skills and proficiency, teamwork and positive demeanor required

Desire to work with seniors

Ability to interact compassionately and communicate effectively with residents and staff
