Qualifications

• Experience requirements: less than 1 year of housekeeping experience.
• Preferred: 1 year of housekeeping experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs housekeeping duties: vacuums and clean floors.
• Cleans public areas, resident rooms, and restrooms; replenishes supplies.
• Uses wet floor signs and maintains housekeeping cart/closet.
• Cleans windows, tile/walls and glass doors; cleans drinking fountains.
• Wears gloves at all times; maintains clean linen carts.
• Assists with grounds cleanup and special events as needed.

Job Overview

Martin Luther Care Center is looking for a Housekeeper to provide a clean, safe and cheerful environment for residents, staff and visitors at our senior assisted living and skilled nursing care facility in Bloomington, MN.

Full-time Housekeeping Position Includes

• Casual/On-call schedule
• Day shift
• Weekends as needed

Martin Luther Care Center, part of the Martin Luther Senior Living Campus is located in East Bloomington, near woodlands/wetlands and along the Minnesota River Bluffs. Responsibilities

• Performs housekeeping duties:
• Vacuums
• Changes water bucket or mop head as trained
• Uses wet floor signs
• Maintains housekeeping cart and closet
• Replenishes supplies - soap, paper towels, and toilet paper
• Cleans tile/walls, windows, and glass doors
• Ensures chemicals are locked up
• Cleans public areas, resident rooms, and restrooms:
• Cleans drinking fountains with disinfectant
• Replenishes supplies - soap, paper towels, and toilet paper
• Vacuums carpets
• Empties and washes waste baskets with disinfectant when needed
• Assists with emergency spills as needed
• Maintains clean linen carts
• Wears gloves at all times
• Assists with grounds cleanup when requested
• Performs other duties as assigned. This may include but is not limited to:
• Room changes
• Cleaning wheel chairs
• Assisting with special events
