Job summary

PACS is seeking a Dietary Aide to support the kitchen and dietary services in a post-acute healthcare setting. Responsibilities include setting up meal trays, assisting with serving meals, and maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read technical procedures and follow recipes.
• Must obtain and maintain food handlers’ certificate.

Responsibilities

• Set up meal trays.
• Strip down returned trays and start washing dishes.
• Assist with serving meals.
• Check and record chlorine concentration and water temperature of dishwashing machine.
• Operate dishwasher.
• Prepare nourishments and snacks.
• Sweep and mop kitchen.
• Carry out trash and garbage.
• Keep groceries stored safely and orderly.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary kitchen environment.
• Participate in orientation and ongoing training for dietary staff.
