Fundamental is seeking a part-time Dietary Aide to assist with meal preparation and service for patients and residents. You will help serve meals according to menus and dietary orders, support the kitchen team, and help maintain safety and quality standards in a long-term care setting.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, fluency in English, and reliable transportation. A food handler’s permit is preferred, and prior food prep experience in a care facility is valued.

Qualifications

• Must possess a High School Diploma or GED.
• Foodhandler’s permit preferred as per local requirements.
• Experience in food prep and service in a skilled nursing or long-term care facility preferred.
• Must be able to speak, understand, and write in fluent English.
• Reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and/or service of meals for patients, employees, and events as instructed by the Dietary Manager.
• Serve food and snacks according to the planned menu and the patient/resident's diet order.
• Assist the Cook by ensuring food is prepared and portioned using proper handling and safety techniques, in line with the menu and diet orders.
• May wash dishes when instructed by the Dietary Manager.
