Job summary

CommonSail Investment Group is seeking a part-time Dietary Aide to support meal service for residents in our senior living communities. The role covers early morning and evening shifts, focusing on food preparation, plating, sanitation and safe handling of meals for 20 residents.

Applicants should have a High School diploma or equivalent, some food service experience, and strong communication skills to work independently and with the team to ensure meals are served on schedule and to standard.

Qualifications

• High School diploma (or equivalent) or technical school.
• Strong ability to work independently and manage meal service for 20 residents.
• Some food service work experience required.
• Great communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Handle, transport and plate food for residents, guests and employees.
• Plate food according to the planned menu using standard recipes.
• Plate food items following portion guidelines and garnishing instructions.
• Assist other kitchen staff as needed. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Ensures that sufficient food is prepped and/or prepared.
• Communicates with supervisor of shortages or outages.
• Maintains cleanliness and sanitation throughout work areas.
• Promotes positive public relations with residents, family members and guests.
