Job summary

Fundamental seeks a Dietary Aide to assist with meal preparation and service for patients and residents. You will work under the Dietary Manager to ensure meals meet planned menus, diet orders, and resident preferences with proper safety and timing.

You will support cooks, handle food safely, and help with daily dining operations. A strong English ability and reliable transportation are essential; a full benefits package is provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent is required.
• Food handler’s permit preferred depending on local regulations.
• Experience in food prep/service in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting is strongly preferred.
• Must be able to speak, understand, and write fluent English.
• Reliable transportation is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and/or service of meals for patients, employees, and events as directed by the Dietary Manager.
• Serve food according to menu and patient/resident dietary orders and preferences.
• Assist the Cook and ensure proper food handling, quantity, and on-time completion per menu and diet orders.
• May wash dishes or assist with related tasks as directed.
