Job summary

Richland-Post-Acute in Richland, WA is seeking a Dietary Aide to support meal service, tray setup, dishwashing, and kitchen sanitation. The role reports to the Cook and Dietary supervisor and requires ability to learn routines quickly and work cooperatively.

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent, read procedures and recipes, and obtain a food handlers’ certificate. Lifting up to 50 pounds and frequent standing are required; prior food service experience is welcomed.

Qualifications

• Must obtain and maintain food handlers’ certificate.
• Ability to read and follow procedures and recipes.
• Ability to present information and respond to questions from managers and employees.
• Ability to apply fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.

Responsibilities

• Set up meal trays and assist with serving meals.
• Operate dishwasher and maintain kitchen cleanliness.
• Check chlorine concentration and water temperature of dishwashing machine.
• Prepare nourishments and snacks for residents.
• Sweep, mop, and maintain floors; clean work surfaces and refrigerators.
• Assist with stocking and organizing food storage.
