Job summary

Sherwood Oaks Post Acute is hiring a Dietary Aide to support daily food service tasks in the kitchen and dining areas. You will set up meal trays, assist with serving meals, and help maintain cleanliness and sanitation throughout the kitchen and dishwashing areas.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, ability to read recipes and procedures, and a food handlers' certificate. Training and teamwork across departments are emphasized.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must obtain and maintain food handlers' certificate.
• Ability to read and follow recipes.
• Ability to read technical procedures.
• Ability to present information to managers and employees.

Responsibilities

• Set up meal trays.
• Strip down returned trays and start washing dishes.
• Assist with serving the different meals.
• Check and record chlorine concentration and water temperature of dishwashing machine at shift start.
• Observe water temperatures of dishwasher during cycles.
• Operate dishwasher.
• Prepare nourishments and snacks.
• Sweep and mop kitchen.
• Carry out trash and garbage.
• Put groceries away safely.
• Keep kitchen clean and sanitary for cook and dietary supervisor.
• Clean surfaces and refrigerators.
• Sweep, mop and maintain floors.
• Participate in orientation and training of dietary staff.
• Work cooperatively with personnel in all departments.
