Job summary

WAVERLYHILLS is seeking a dietary aide to support kitchen operations and meal service. The role involves learning the food service routine quickly, stripping down trays, assisting with meal service, and ensuring dishwashing and sanitation standards are met.

You will also help prepare nourishments, sweep and mop, and maintain safe, clean food-prep areas. The position requires ability to read procedures, follow recipes, and collaborate with colleagues across departments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must obtain and maintain a food handlers' certificate.
• Ability to read and follow recipes and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Learn food service routines quickly and adapt to shift needs.
• Strip down returned trays and start washing dishes.
• Assist with serving meals and prepare nourishments and snacks.
• Check chlorine concentration and monitor water temperature of the dishwasher.
• Operate the dishwasher and maintain clean work surfaces and refrigerators.
• Sweep, mop, and maintain kitchen floors; carry out trash removal.
• Participate in orientation and ongoing dietary staff training.
• Work cooperatively with personnel across departments.
