Job summary

Orchard view Post Acute is seeking a Dietary Aide to support daily meal service. You will learn food service routines, set up meal trays, assist with serving, wash dishes, and maintain clean work areas under supervision of the Cook and Dietary supervisor. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and the ability to read recipes and procedures.

You must obtain a food handlers' certificate. We offer medical, dental, vision coverage, a 401(k) plan with employer match, and generous paid time off;

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read technical procedures and follow recipes.

Responsibilities

• Learn food service routine within a short period.
• Set up meal trays.
• Strip down returned trays and start washing dishes.
• Assist with serving the different meals.
• Check and record water parameters of dishwashing machine at shift start.
• Observe dishwasher water temperatures during cycles.
• Operate dishwasher.
• Prepare nourishments and snacks.
• Sweep and mop kitchen and maintain clean floors.
• Carry out trash and garbage disposal.
• Put groceries away safely and neatly.
• Support kitchen cleanliness and sanitation and assist when called upon by supervision.
• Participate in orientation and ongoing training of dietary staff.

Education
