Job summary

BOCARATON is seeking a Dietary Aide to learn and support the daily food service routines, including tray setup, dishwashing, and assisting with meal service. The role requires cooperation with the cook and dietary supervisor to ensure safe, sanitary kitchen operations.

Candidates should be able to read procedures and recipes, obtain a food handlers' certificate, and work effectively with staff across departments. A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and follow recipes accurately.
• Clear communication with managers and staff when clarifying tasks.

Responsibilities

• Learn food service routines quickly and accurately.
• Set up meal trays for service.
• Strip down returned trays and start washing dishes.
• Assist with serving meals and maintain cleanliness.
• Check chlorine concentration and water temperature of dishwashing machine at shift start.
• Observe dishwasher water temperatures during cycles.
• Operate dishwasher and maintain sanitary kitchen conditions.
• Prepare nourishments and snacks for residents.
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors and handle trash.
• Store groceries safely and orderly.
• Ensure kitchen remains clean and sanitary at all times.
• Participate in orientation and ongoing dietary staff training.
• Work cooperatively with personnel across departments.
