Job summary

Carrollwood is seeking a Dietary Aide to support meal service and maintain a clean kitchen under the Cook and Dietary supervisor.

Responsibilities include setting up trays, washing dishes, serving meals, and monitoring dishwashing temperatures. Training will be provided and adherence to food safety standards is required.

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and ability to read procedures and recipes, plus basic math and communication skills; a valid food handlers' certificate is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read procedures and follow recipes.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and employees.

Responsibilities

• Learn food service routine within a short period.
• Set up meal trays.
• Strip down returned trays and start washing dishes.
• Assist with serving the different meals.
• Check and record chlorine concentration and water temperature of the dishwashing machine at the beginning of shift.
• Observe the water temperatures of dishwasher during dishwashing cycles.
• Operate dishwasher.
• Prepare nourishments and snacks.
• Sweep and mop kitchen.
• Carry out trash and garbage.
• Put groceries away in a safe, orderly and clean manner.
• Leave the kitchen clean and sanitary and assist when called upon by the cook or dietary supervisor.
• Clean work surfaces and refrigerators.
• Sweep, mop, and maintain floors.
• Participate in orientation and training of dietary staff.
