Job summary

PACS Group is seeking a Dietary Aide to support our kitchen operations. The role requires learning food service routines quickly, setting up meal trays, assisting with meal service, and maintaining clean work areas.

You will also monitor dishwashing processes, operate the dishwasher, and ensure food safety by following recipes, procedures, and sanitation standards. This position is on-site and requires teamwork with cooks and supervisors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read technical procedures.
• Ability to read and follow recipes.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and employees.

Responsibilities

• Set up meal trays.
• Strip down returned trays and start washing dishes.
• Assist with serving the different meals.
• Check and record chlorine concentration and water temperature of dishwashing machine at the beginning of shift.
• Observe the water temperatures of dishwasher during dishwashing cycles.
• Operate dishwasher.
• Prepare nourishments and snacks.
• Sweep and mop kitchen.
• Carry out trash and garbage.
• Put groceries away in a safe, orderly and clean manner.
• Leave the kitchen in a clean and sanitary manner and be of assistance when called upon by the cook or dietary supervisor.
• Clean work surfaces and refrigerators.
• Sweep, mop, and maintain floors.
