Job summary

PACS Group is hiring a Dietary Aide to support meal service in a healthcare kitchen. You will learn the routine quickly, set up meal trays, and assist with serving meals while maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen environment.

The role requires ability to follow recipes and procedures, read technical instructions, and work cooperatively with staff. Training will be provided, and the environment is low to moderate noise with standard kitchen safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must obtain and maintain a food handlers’ certificate.
• Ability to read and follow technical procedures and recipes.
• Ability to apply fractions, percentages, and ratios to practical tasks.
• Ability to solve problems and interpret instructions.

Responsibilities

• Set up meal trays.
• Strip down returned trays and start washing dishes.
• Assist with serving the different meals.
• Check and record chlorine concentration and water temperature of the dishwashing machine.
• Observe dishwasher water temperatures during cycles.
• Operate the dishwasher.
• Prepare nourishments and snacks.
• Sweep and mop the kitchen and maintain floors.
• Carry out trash and garbage disposal and groceries storage.
• Keep work surfaces and refrigerators clean and sanitary.
• Participate in orientation and ongoing training of dietary staff.
• Cooperate with personnel across departments.
