Job summary

PACS is seeking a Dietary Aide to support our food service operations in a healthcare setting. You will learn the food service routine quickly, set up meal trays, assist with serving meals, and maintain a clean kitchen.

Position requires ability to read procedures and follow recipes, plus a food handlers certificate. Work involves standing, lifting up to 50 pounds, and basic dishwashing tasks.

Qualifications

• Must read technical procedures.
• Able to read and follow recipes.
• Food handlers certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Set up meal trays.
• Strip down returned trays and start washing dishes.
• Assist with serving the meals.
• Check and record chlorine concentration and water temperature of the dishwashing machine.
• Operate dishwasher.
• Prepare nourishments and snacks.
• Sweep and mop kitchen.
• Carry out trash and garbage.
• Put groceries away in a safe, orderly and clean manner.
• Leave the kitchen clean and sanitary and assist when called upon by cook or dietary supervisor.
• Clean work surfaces and refrigerators.
• Sweep, mop, and maintain floors.
• Participate in orientation and ongoing training of dietary staff.
