Position Type: Full Time

Primary Responsibilities

The Dietary Aide follows the direction of the Certified Dietary Manager and state guidelines to ensure that food is properly prepared, served to residents, and that the dining hall and dishes are cleaned after meals.

Essential Functions

• Assist with food prep and cooking following universal precautions and state/federal regulations
• Prepare and serve beverages
• Set up and pass trays for meal service
• Stock snack cart
• Buss tables and trays
• Clean the kitchen work area
• Wash dishes
• Follow proper handwashing guidelines
• Perform additional special projects or tasks assigned by the CDM or Executive Director

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred
• Must have Texas Food Handler Certificate
• Experience working in a commercial kitchen preferred
