General Purpose
The dietary aide's assignments are determined based on the needs of the shift activity. He/she reports to the Cook and Dietary Supervisor.
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to read technical procedures, follow recipes, and effectively communicate with managers and employees.
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.
Ability to solve practical problems and interpret instructions in various formats.
Must obtain and maintain a food handler's certificate.
Requires standing, walking frequently; sitting occasionally; reaching, pushing, pulling, talking, hearing, tasting, smelling frequently; lifting up to 50 pounds; occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling; and good visual perception.
