General Purpose
The dietary aide's assignments are determined based on the needs during each shift. He/she reports to the Cook and Dietary Supervisor.

Qualifications
Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or equivalent.
Language Skills: Ability to read technical procedures, follow recipes, and effectively communicate with managers and staff.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and interpret various instructions.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Must obtain and maintain a food handler's certificate.
Physical Demands: Frequent standing, walking, reaching, pushing/pulling, talking, hearing, tasting, smelling; lifting up to 50 pounds; occasional climbing, kneeling, crouching, crawling; good vision required.
Work Environment: Usually low to moderate noise levels; reasonable accommodations available for disabilities.
