Job summary

Country Club Care Center is seeking a Dietary Aide to support the dining and kitchen teams in providing resident meals and maintaining clean, orderly dining areas. You will help prepare dining rooms, deliver meals to resident rooms, and ensure sanitation standards are met.

Requirements include friendly communication, reading ability, and the physical stamina to stand, lift up to 50 pounds, and assist in stocking and inventory.

Qualifications

• Friendly with good communication skills.
• Ability to read and understand basic information (menus, instructions).
• Physical ability to stand, walk, push/pull, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up dining rooms and tables with attention to cleanliness and order.
• Deliver meals to resident rooms at designated times.
• Maintain clean dining areas and dishes using proper procedures; discard leftovers and trash.
• Follow color coding and abbreviations on tray cards and therapeutic menus.
• Assist the Cook and Dietary Manager as directed.
• Stock ingredients and monitor inventory.

Dietary Aide - Essential Functions:

The Dietary Aide helps prepare dining rooms and tables, provide meal service to residents and maintains cleanliness and sanitation of dining and kitchen areas.

• Delivers meals to resident rooms at designated times and sets up tables or other dining areas with attention to cleanliness and order.


• Maintain a clean dining areas & dishes using appropriate procedures, discard leftovers & empty trash.


• Understand and follow color coding and abbreviations of tray cards and therapeutic menus.


• Assists the Cook and Dietary Manager as directed.


• Stock ingredients and monitor inventory.


• Helps maintain kitchen equipment and appliances.


• Attend all mandatory in-services, educational trainings and department meetings.

Dietary Aide - Requirements:

• Friendly with good communication skills


• Ability to communicate effectively with staff and residents.


• Ability to read.


• Meet physical demands - stand, sit, walk extended lengths of time, push, pull and lift up to 50 pounds


• Food service experience preferredKnowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines a plus
