Job summary

Birchwood-Terrace-Rehabilitation-and-Healthcar is seeking a Dietary Aide to join the Food Services team. You will assist the Cook in meal prep and service, ensuring residents receive quality meals and care. You will help prepare and deliver food and trays and maintain kitchen cleanliness.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and ability to read, speak, and understand English. Experience with quantity food production and food safety is desirable, with physical ability to

• General knowledge and understanding of nutrition


• Ability to read and accurately apply requirements of food tray cards


• Written and oral communication skills


• Knowledge of quantity food production and serving techniques, food safety/sanitation requirements and procedures


• Ability to interact positively with residents, clients, and other personnel


• Must be able to lift/carry a maximum of 30 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods of time
