Job summary

Cypress Healthcare and Rehabilitation is seeking a cook to prepare nutritious meals for residents in a timely manner while following federal, state, and corporate guidelines. The role emphasizes safety and sanitary practices in all food preparation tasks.

The cook may supervise staff in the absence of the Director of Nutritional Services and is expected to participate in required meetings and trainings, presenting a professional image and upholding resident rights.

Qualifications

• Good verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Basic understanding of cleanliness, organization and safety.
• Prior food service and/or long-term care experience preferred.
