Job summary

White Acres Wellness & Rehabilitation is seeking a dedicated Cook to prepare nutritious, attractive meals and supplements for residents, adhering to Federal, State, and Corporate guidelines.

In this role, you will ensure safe, sanitary food handling, supervise staff in the Director of Nutritional Services' absence, and participate in meetings and in-services as required. Good communication and reliability are essential in a patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Good verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Basic understanding of cleanliness, organization and safety.
• Prior food service and/or long-term care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares nutritious and attractive meals for residents in a timely manner.
• Maintains safety and sanitary food-handling practices.
• Supervises staff in the director's absence.
