Job summary

Cypress Healthcare and Rehabilitation is seeking a cook to prepare nutritious, attractive meals and supplements for all residents in compliance with Federal, State and Corporate requirements. The role emphasizes safety and sanitation and requires professional presentation.

You will assist in meetings, support staff in the absence of the Director of Nutritional Services, and attend in-services to maintain quality standards.

Qualifications

• Good verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Basic understanding of cleanliness, organization and safety.
• Prior food service and/or long-term care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares timely, nutritious meals and supplements for residents per Federal, State and Corporate requirements.
• The cook supervises staff in the absence of the Director of Nutritional Services.
• Attends meetings and in-services as required.
