Orwigsburg Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking an experienced Dietary Aide to join our dietary team. Full Time & Part Time schedules available with 6:30am-2:30pm and 4:00pm-8:00pm shifts. Holiday & Weekend availability a must.

Responsibilities include light food preparation, ensuring therapeutic diets are followed, and maintaining sanitation per regulations while working closely with the dietary supervisor and dietitian.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited high school or GED preferred.
• Past experience preferred, but training provided.
• Knowledge of basic foods and nutrition, sanitation and service.
• Willing to wear hair covering and be well groomed.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist with light food preparation

• Ensure that all therapeutic diets are prepared and served as prescribed on resident's written slip

• Possess strong organizational and time management skills

• Possess the ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a demanding healthcare environment

• Works in conjunction with the dietary supervisor and dietitian to provide a well-balanced meal for the patients

• Follow the Health department rules and regulations on food preparation.

• Sanitation of the department will be maintained in accordance with Federal, State, County and City regulations

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited high school or GEDpreferred

• Past experience preferred, but we will train the right people!

• Must have knowledge of basic principles of foods and nutrition, food sanitation and service, familiar with large scale purchase and preparation of food

• Must be well groomed and willing to wear hair covering
