Job summary

Self Regional Healthcare Inc. seeks a Dietary Aide to guide patients on dietary orders and ensure meals and nourishments are provided accurately and promptly.

You will communicate needs to supervisors and coordinate with Clinical Dietitians to support nutrition consults and patient care. Responsibilities include processing dietary orders, tube feedings, and generating meal tickets and reports while maintaining high sanitation and hand hygiene standards.

Qualifications

• High school Diploma or GED equivalent and/or three-years’ work experience required
• Must be able to follow both verbal and written instructions regarding logs, sanitation, patient care, and infection control policies
• Knowledge of computers and data entry
• Must have strong customer service and communication skills, able to read and write required

Responsibilities

• Guides patients on order based on prescribed diet, ensuring meals are accurate and timely.
• Communicates problems to the appropriate leader in a timely, accurate manner.
• Processes and communicates all patients’ diet orders/tube feedings/nourishments/supplements with updates to the patient’s card-file.
• Maintains open communication with Clinical Dietitians regarding nutrition consults, patient needs, problems and questions.
• Maintains a high standard of cleanliness and sanitation in the work area; upholds proper personal and hand hygiene.
• Completes any other duties as assigned by Supervisor, Coordinator or Management.
