Responsibilities

• Follows established departmental procedures in accordance with state regulations and administrative policies.
• Follows standardized recipes and monitors food production and waste.
• Prepares portions according to menu and diet requirements.
• Reviews menus for special diet needs prior to meal.
• Monitors tray line at mealtimes to ensure portion control and dietary restrictions.
• Prepares food to align with serving hours while preserving quality, quantity, temperature, and appearance.
• Operates kitchen equipment as necessary.
• Monitors perishable foods and ensures proper storage and rotation.
• Maintain proper food and freezer storage.
• Maintain proper food handling techniques and glove usage.
• Performs other related duties as required.
