Job summary

Coast Truck Centers in Klamath Falls, OR is seeking a skilled Truck Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain semi-trucks in a fast-paced shop environment. You will perform inspections, use diagnostic tools, and ensure safety and compliance while communicating with drivers and fleet managers.

A high school diploma or GED and 2+ years of diesel experience are preferred; ASE certification and CDL are a plus. Welding skills are a plus; ability to lift up to 75 lbs is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 2+ years diesel mechanic/service technician experience preferred.
• ASE certification or equivalent is a plus.
• CDL preferred but not required; valid driver's license with insurable record.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities; attention to detail and safety.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on semi-trucks.
• Inspect and repair electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
• Conduct DOT inspections and ensure safety/compliance standards are met.
• Welding and fabrication skills are a plus.
• Maintain detailed service records and document repairs/inspections.
• Utilize diagnostic tools to identify issues and select appropriate solutions.
• Work efficiently while upholding safety and quality standards.
• Communicate maintenance needs and timelines with drivers and fleet managers.
• Adhere to company policies and OSHA/environmental safety standards.
