Job summary

TravelCenters of America in Oregon is seeking a Diesel Technician to join our team. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair heavy-duty trucks and trailers in a fast-paced service environment.

You will perform diagnostic testing, develop repair plans, maintain a safe work area, and collaborate with the Service Advisor. We offer medical and dental insurance, a 401(k) plan, vacation, tuition reimbursement, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Trade school or manufacturer’s tech training preferred.
• Willingness to expand knowledge through training.
• Ability to work unsupervised.
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and some holidays.
• Must have own tools.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair heavy-duty trucks and trailers.
• Perform diagnostic testing and develop a repair plan, then communicate to the Service Advisor.
• Repair malfunctioning parts safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Suggest additional TA services during inspections.
• Ensure safety of customers and employees.
