Job summary

Republic Services in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Diesel Technician B to perform repair and maintenance on diesel and non-diesel equipment, including chassis, refuse bodies, hydraulic/electrical systems, and HVAC. The role requires diagnosing multi-system issues and providing on-site or road service as needed.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of technician experience, familiarity with Class 1-8 vehicles, and ASE certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in a technician position with knowledge of gasoline and diesel-powered equipment diagnosis and repair.
• ASE Certifications (T1-T8) are a plus but not required.
• Commercial Driver’s License is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains knowledge and performs preventive and repair maintenance on heavy and medium-duty trucks and equipment.
• Repairs chassis components, refuse bodies, braking and hydraulic systems, engines, HVAC, suspension, drive train and steering.
• Performs line maintenance welding and fabrication and safe road service when needed.
