Job summary

Republic Services, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician B to service diesel and non‑diesel equipment, including chassis, refuse bodies, brakes, engines, HVAC, and drive systems. You will diagnose issues, perform preventative maintenance, and provide on‑road support as needed.

Training on new technologies is provided, with a focus on safety and reliability. The role offers a stable schedule (3pm–midnight), opportunities for overtime, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Ability to diagnose multi‑system issues and demonstrate technical expertise.
• Basic understanding of work order labor time standards.
• Experience with maintenance on Class 1‑5 and heavy‑duty Class 7‑8 trucks or similar.
• ASE Certifications (T1‑T8) are a plus but not required.
• CDL is a plus but not required.
• 3–5 years in a technician role or recent graduation from a tech program.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and repair maintenance on vehicle components and systems, on‑site and on the road.
• Chassis, refuse bodies, braking, engine, suspension, steering, HVAC repair.
• Roadside service as needed to keep equipment operational.
• Identify malfunction sources using various electronic tools.
• Complete company training and other duties as assigned.
