Job summary

Estes Express is hiring for diesel mechanics at multiple experience levels. Responsibilities include repairs and preventive maintenance of diesel engines, trucks, and forklifts, plus inspections and compliance documentation under FMCSA and related regs.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, at least 17 years old, and 1+ year experience or trade school. Must own tools, operate hand tools, and be able to work varied shifts including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent background.
• Must be 17+ years of age.
• 1 year experience or completion of trade school; or equivalent.
• Must own hand tools and be able to use test equipment.
• CDL if driving on public roads; FMCSA rules apply.
• Strong work ethic and problem solving skills.
• Willing to work any shift including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Repairs and preventive maintenance of diesel engines, trucks and/or forklifts.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose, and maintain equipment.
• Perform safety inspections and document compliance with FMCSA and regulations.
• Interpret work orders and technical manuals.
• Repair or replace defective parts and systems.
• Test equipment to ensure proper performance and compliance with specs.
• Maintain regular attendance; perform other duties as assigned.
