Job summary

US Foods, Inc. is hiring a Fleet Maintenance Technician in New Orleans to keep diesel fleet equipment in safe, reliable condition. You will perform diagnostics, preventative maintenance, and repairs across tractors, trailers, and related devices, while documenting work via fleet software.

Preferred candidates have 3+ years in reefers/refrigeration, TK/Carrier certifications, tool ownership, and willingness to travel for training. High school diploma required; welding is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3 years of hands-on experience as a Fleet Reefer/Refrigeration technician.
• TK/Carrier Refrigeration Certifications.
• Willing to travel for training provided by US Foods.
• Diagnostic and troubleshooting competency for reefer equipment repairs.
• Able to read and understand manuals; basic math skills.
• Must furnish own hand tools.
• Reading/understanding technical manuals; welding experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, rebuild, replace and complete repairs on diesel equipment (tractors, trailers, bobtails, etc.).
• Perform preventative maintenance within DOT standards.
• Coordinate road calls and plan action with vendors/business partners.
• Maintain clean, safe work environment per safety rules/regulations.
• Document repairs and parts used in fleet maintenance software.
• Mentor other maintenance staff; support manager.
