Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational/technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1–2 years of automotive/diesel repair experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work well as part of a team and outdoors.
• Follow DOT, OSHA, and Penske safety policies and procedures.
• Willingness to travel within a near geography for training.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and ensure vehicles are safe for customers.
• Use Penske tools to log, research and complete repairs, including diagnostics.
• Perform preventive maintenance (tires, lubrication, some electrical and cooling system work).
• Collaborate with manager to learn new skills via training and coaching.
• Handle other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
