Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing in Greensboro is seeking a qualified Technician to perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on our fleet. You’ll use Penske tools and diagnostic equipment to keep vehicles safe and on the road, with hands-on coaching from experienced supervisors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1-2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.
• The ability to solve problems and comfort using tools.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work well as part of a team and outside.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must understand and comply with Penske instructions, guidelines, rules, and safety policies.
• DOT/OSHA safety adherence and PPE usage required.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and ensure vehicles are safe for customers.
• Use Penske tools and diagnostics to research and complete repairs.
• Perform preventative maintenance and basic component servicing.
• Learn new skills through Penske’s technician training and coaching.
• Take on additional projects as assigned by supervisor.
