Job summary

Penske is seeking a qualified Technician in Conover, NC to perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on a diverse fleet. You’ll log repairs with Penske tools, conduct basic diagnostics, and help keep vehicles safe for customers.

The role offers growth through Penske’s training programs and a collaborative team environment. We value mechanical aptitude and a proactive attitude, with 1–2 years of repair experience and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred
• 1–2 years automotive or diesel repair experience preferred
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to solve problems and use tools
• DOT/OSHA safety compliance and background checks required
• Willingness to travel within a near geography for training

Responsibilities

• Maintain vehicles to ensure safety for customers
• Use Penske tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics
• Perform preventative maintenance and component work (tires, lubrication, some electrical/cooling) on gas and diesel engines
• Collaborate with manager to learn new skills through Penske’s technician training
• Handle additional projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor
